The Inspect company was officially founded in April 1989, few months before fall of communism in Slovakia, although it operated unoffcially already in 1988. In the very beginning, the company was developing strain gauge load cells and, in the first year of operation, it sold several force monitors for the companies like ZŤS Martin, ČSAD Lučenec or ELBA Kremnica.

Nonetheless, the Inspect company has had higher ambitions and in 1990 finished development of its first crane scale - WMD 40. In that year, company sold three of those scales (Hydronika Bratislava and Drôtovňa Hlohovec 2 pcs). Entering Czech market was quick, too. In 1993, Inspect company sold 11 crane scales to Czech market to companies like Barum, Zetor, ZPS Zlín and ZD Zlín. Due to the strong academic background in the company, the development of new products and technology was indeed quick. Also in 1993, Inspect developed first batching scale - automaton for batching powder groceries - for Italian company Agrozoofarma Mortegliano. In that year,  the co-operation with largest magensite factories in Slovakia started and lasts till today. With SMZ Jelšava, it was initiated by  trolley scale for  magnesite and with Slovmag Lubenik in 1994 by two automatic lines. The first one was batching line for production of fire-resistant materials and the second one was weighing line for these materials. Since then, automatic batching lines have been one of the most successful non-standard products of Inspect company  and until 2007, there were already 71 lines manufactured and build.

 

Throughout the company's existence, Inspect has developed several types of crane scales with unique  attributes. Whether it is WMD 03 or WMD 30 which are characterised by very light but rugged housing from hardened plastic or WMD 40 with remarkable LED display with unbeatable readability. At the moment, Inspect develops successor of the biggest crane scale WMD 40 which is already in state of testing.
