Manipulačný robot pre LHC so snímačmi Inspect

On 10/9/2008 in Geneva, the word's largest hadron collider was succesfully launched. It lies in a tunnel 27 kilometres (17 mi) in circumference, as much as 175 metres (570 ft) beneath the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva, Switzerland. It is funded by and built in collaboration with over 10,000 scientists and engineers from over 100 countries as well as hundreds of universities and laboratories.

The Inspect company participated together with VVU ZTS Kosice which provided the robots which are used to manipulate the several tons heavy magnets in which particles are accelerated and with which it is necessary to manipulate with millimeters precision (0.1 mm). Inspect company developed unique load cells which protect robots from overloading. This handling equipment won prestigious Golden Hadron award among other seven suppliers of CERN.
