Mechanical design is where a process concept becomes a real machine. We work in 3D — the model lets us verify the installation envelope, clashes and moving parts before the first drawing exists or the first plate is cut.
We model the complete assembly in 3D and check clashes, clearances and access to parts for maintenance. The model also serves as the basis for the other disciplines and for showing the customer the design before manufacturing starts.
From the model we generate manufacturing drawings, parts lists and documentation for machining, cutting and welding. The documentation is complete and unambiguous, so manufacturing runs without queries coming back and the parts fit together at assembly.
The mechanical documentation follows directly on from the civil part and is the input for our own manufacturing of mechanical assemblies.
