Bagging scales

A bagging scale provides repeatable automatic dosing of material to a set target weight.

A bagging scale fills bags with bulk material accurately. Material is dosed through a pneumatically operated flap with two intermediate positions — for coarse and fine dosing. That two-stage approach is what allows most of the batch to go in fast while the target weight is still hit precisely at the end.

The bag is held by a clamping mechanism which, with the bag, hangs on strain-gauge load cells. Material is dosed through the set flap gap by gravity, or by a feeder, from the hopper into the clamped bag.

Open-mouth and valve bags

For open-mouth bags the machine is completed with stitching or sealing and a discharge conveyor. Valve bags are filled by fitting them onto a filling spout, which suits dusty materials such as cement better.

Fitted to the plant

Years of building bagging scales taught us to adapt the equipment to each customer: the headroom available, the material, the throughput required and how the filled bags are taken away.

If you need bags filled without investing in the machine yourself, we also offer packaging and dispatch as a service at our own site.
