Platform scales are the most universal type: the load goes on the platform and the value is there immediately.
Platform scales weigh medium loads placed on a weighing platform. They are used across every industry and in services too — anywhere a single item or a batch has to be weighed quickly and repeatedly.
They can sit directly on the floor, on a bench, or be built as portable platform scales where weighing happens in more than one place.
Platform scales today do considerably more than show a weight. We routinely set up piece counting from a reference weight, percentage weighing, totalising individual weighings into a batch, and weight ticket printing.
Where the scale has to talk to the rest of the plant, values are passed over ethernet, Wi-Fi, or the RS485, RS232 and Profibus fieldbuses — whichever you already run on site.
For dusty and wet areas we specify platforms with higher ingress protection and stainless surfaces. For use in trade the scale is supplied as a verifiable legal-for-trade instrument.
